Rod Abbot

Rod Abbott has been a financial educator since 1985. Over 6,000 individuals have benefitted from his presentations on increasing retirement income, reducing tax, and effective estate planning. He has also written for Prime Life magazine and has been quoted in the Times Colonist. Rod has served on the boards of Lambrick Park Church and SALTS (Sail and Life Training Society), chairing the latter for two years. Rod is also a member of the Vancouver Island Chapter of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.

Rod received his MBA from the University of British Columbia in 1984 and is a Certified Financial Planner®. Originally born in Victoria, he now calls Cadboro Bay his home. He is married to Tricia and they have three children, Charlotte, Olivia and Liam, and two miniature dachshunds, Snorkel and Minnie. With the recent addition of Wyatt, they are also very much looking forward to the next chapter of their lives as grandparents. Rod and Tricia enjoy ballroom dancing and reading a good book. When not in the office or on the dance floor, Rod can be found golfing, fishing and captaining his boat, Pacific Loon.
